His Faithful Presence.
Isa. 41:10 10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
John 14:15-18 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot* receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
His name speaks of His faithfulness:
Comforter - God with us.
Emmanuel - God is with us.
Jehovah Shamma - The Lord is present.
Today - I just want to touch on ‘His Faithful Presence.’
Looking at these scriptures and His descriptive names - we are assured of His faithfulness.
God is faithful.
- His faithfulness comes through family & friends
- His church - through Kind words, prayers & just being there
- His whisper
- His presence - talk about being at David’s bedside
- His word
For the believer. God is faithful. In Life & in Death.
Faithful in Life. Faithful unto Death. His faithful presence is with us.
Today: And now we prepare ourselves to participate in Water Baptism - for most of us, as one who witnesses and for some as they follow the Lord in Water Baptism.
