2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
In this study we examine the change brought about by the sacrifice of Jesus. In the Old Testament we see the ark of the covenant kept in the Holy of Holies. The thick veil that separated the Holy of Holies from the rest of the tabernacle was a “line of demarcation” between the priest and the layman. The layman had no access to this Holiest of places where the presence of God dwelt.
Now, in the New Covenant, we all have access to the presence of God. As Jesus “breathed his last,” the dividing veil was torn from top to bottom. No longer does the Spirit of God dwell in a temple made with hands, but resides in every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. We can now have true fellowship, communion and partnership with the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. We can expect him to lead us and to teach us.
