Appetite defined: a desire for food or drink: desire to satisfy any need or craving.
All of us have an appetite for something.
Man craves, man desires, man hungers, man thirsts.
The question for us is: what does our appetite look like - what is the focus of our appetite
Is it power, recognition, fame, fulfillment?
What we feed on is where our appetite will be found.
1 Peter 2:1-3
1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Eph. 5:18

Eph. 3:16-20
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly * above all that we ask or think , according to the power that worketh in us, To foster your spiritual hunger, you need to feed your spiritual hunger.
By engaging in the things of God, you soon find yourself enjoying those things, wanting more, and wondering why you ever neglected them.
Scriptures on Hunger & Thirst.
Psalm 107:8-9
8 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
Matt. 5:6
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.
Hunger: to crave ardently, to seek with eager desire
Thirst: those who are said to thirst who painfully feel their want of, and eagerly long for, those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, strengthened
Principle: What we hunger and thirst for is what we’ll be filled with.
